NIA Member Orientation
Get the most out of your NIA membership by attending this special session for new and current NIA members! A brief presentation about NIA’s activities and how you can get involved is followed by valuable networking with other NIA members, the Board of Directors, committee chairs, and staff. Bring your spouse and enjoy light refreshments while learning more about what NIA can do for you. Reservations are required, as space is limited.

Convention First-Timer and VIP Reception
Will this be your first time attending a NIA Convention? If so, don’t miss this invitation-only hosted cocktail reception where you can network with NIA leaders and staff, and learn more about what you can expect to gain from NIA’s Convention. You can also ask any questions about Convention, committees, or programs offered by NIA. Be sure to check the “First Convention” box when registering so you’ll be sure to get your special invitation.

Welcome Reception: Florida – Gulf Coast Style
Kick off Convention and kick back as we explore the culinary delights of Florida’s Gulf Coast region. Soak up the beauty of the sunset and feel the cool breeze flowing through the palm trees as you reconnect with industry friends and meet new ones. A jazz guitarist with a tropical touch provides the musical background as you enjoy a Florida feast and engage with old and new friends alike.

Hosted Dessert Hospitality Suites
Don’t forget dessert, because immediately following the Welcome Reception is one of the highlights of NIA’s Convention—the Dessert Hospitality Suites! Your NIA member company hosts have filled each room with delicious treats and beverages to finish your evening the right way. Don’t miss this chance to relax and continue networking with industry friends at the sweetest event of the week.

Appreciation Night: Pirate’s Hideaway
Ahoy Matey! Step into a pirate’s hideaway and enjoy a night of swashbuckling fun and adventure. Nestled among the tall shrubbery and palm trees of the resort, this pirate’s den sets the mood as you enjoy dinner and drinks. The evening’s entertainment is kicked off with Tarpon Tim and the Charisma Island Band playing your favorites from the Beach Boys and Jimmy Buffet. Feeling competitive? Take your turn at bowling island style—with coconuts! Experience the thrill and hysteria of hermit crab racing, where you’ll hand pick your own live hermit crab and cheer as your crab races to the finish line. Friendly competition is encouraged—a grand champion will be named by the end of the night, so bragging rights are at stake.

Open Night – Enjoy Bonita Springs!

President’s Gala Dinner and Dance
The President’s Gala Dinner and Dance wraps up the NIA Convention in style as we gather one last time to close out another exciting Convention. This evening begins with a cocktail reception, followed by a luxurious meal and dancing. Semi-formal attire is encouraged (suits and ties for men, and cocktail dresses for women). Join your fellow NIA members in honoring outgoing president Rick Smith for his year of service and dedication to our association and industry. A former U.S. Congressional Chief of Staff will speak about the complexities and challenges we face on Capitol Hill. As his schedule is very tight, he is only available on SAturday night. We believe he will bring you a unique perspective on what's to come in Washington, D.C. Then enjoy dancing to the band, Paris, while networking with friends one more time before heading home.
