NIA's 58th Annual Convention

April 17-20, 2013

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point

Bonita Springs, Florida

Bonita Springs, just south of Fort Myers and north of Naples, is located on the Gulf of Mexico and Estero Bay on the west coast of Florida.  Florida sunshine warms the area, with highs in April in the low- to mid-80s during the day and a low in the mid-60s at night, with gentle breezes off the Gulf.

With a variety of daytime and evening events, guests will need an assortment of attire to accommodate the temperature range at the Hyatt. All daytime Convention sessions are casual; golf shirts and resort wear are recommended. The Welcome Reception and Appreciation Night will be held outside; casual attire is recommended. Because nights can be cooler, with a breeze, a light sweater or jacket is suggested. The President’s Gala will be semi-formal. We suggest suits and ties for men, and cocktail dresses for the ladies. There are dining options at the hotel, as well as in Bonita Springs and Naples, ranging from casual to elegant, so it is important to bring attire appropriate for each place you plan to go. Don’t forget to pack suitable sportswear so you can take full advantage of the exercise facilities, including the golf course, tennis courts, and pools. And make sure to pack your beach bag. The resort has access to a private island on the Gulf of Mexico a short 20-minute boat ride away. The resort offers complimentary boat service to the island daily.
